The Avengers

ok, just finished watching the Avengers, the culmination of all the Marvel sub stories and franchises finally all came together (minus spidey of course) into a visually stunning and well made story.

Even after suffering through the terrible starts to the Hulk ,I realized, not that I hate Ed norton or Ang lee, but they were the wrong people to be involved with the back story , but Mark Ruffalo's Hulk was powerful and humerous, it showed the control Banner can assert onto the creature and its "human" side. Chris Hemsworth as Thor was impecible as he was in the first movie and Iron man , was well , what can you say, Robert Downey Jr was born to play that role. Scarlet Johannsen was super sexy and awesome as the black widow, and Sam Jackson was PERFECT as General Fury. What I cant understand is why all super villians , Loki I am looking at you , are portrayed with a British accent.

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, played the character to a tee, though as a young geek , Hawkeye was never really my favorite character, I would have rathered Frank Castle to be coerced onto the Avengers. Chris Evans as Captain America WAS the Captain, he showed just a little old fashioned corniness and patriotism to make you now it was the cap , but played modern enough and smart enough to show his colors.

All in all a great superhero movie , dont go expecting Shakespeare , but go as your 10 year old self , with an open mind and drink in the nostalgic and visual wonders that is the Avengers, I know I felt like a kid again watching it.
